A CLOSER LOOK BEHIND THE SCENES

LVRRS JUST ARRIVED DOWNTOWN:

Last minute finishing touches on location; just about to unstrap the engines for the parde. It was a lot of work, but an unforgettable exciting experience. We were a very, very long parade within the Helldorado parade and are very grateful to a couple of local schools who participated with their Cheerleaders, and also others , all listed by name below the pictures.

PARADE DESCRIPTION:

1] In the lead: Mr. Ian Dauth (Advisory Board) our marching airline pilot
2] Followed by cheerleaders in LVRRS uniforms, red bandanas, railroad hats from Harney Middle School
3] And supporting cheerleaders in red white & blue uniforms from Cram Middle School
4] Volunteer 'show girl' dressed in hot pink attire on a red sports car
5] Local Pigeon Club / It was to hot to let the birds fly
6] Pick up truck full with railroad friends in railroad uniform

The LV Railroad Society Parade absolutely turned heads, to say the least!

COMMUNITY CHEERING:

People left & right alongside 4th Street cheered and applauded; thumbs up; pointing to the railroad theme float, it was a brief connection from heart to heart, between parents; community, and the LV Railroad Society!

Trudy Platzer, the LVRRS Founder and President in the front of the float was extremely touched by the positive response of the community! After the parade people called all excited, asking when we will have grand opening!

CHILDREN POINTING:

Children were stunned, reading our banner, analyzing our entire float with their mouth open and then jumped for joy, screaming, looking at their parents, pointing their little fingers all excited toward the train display!

JUDGES RESPONDED ALMOST SPEECHLESS:

Helldorado Parade judges shared the public's opinion & voted in favor of the LVRRS float design, to win first place for MOST CREATIVE design in 2009. It was a lot of work, but it was an honor!
