It is the Las Vegas Railroad Society's ongoing mission to collect, preserve and exhibit historical steam era artifacts and railroad memorabilia for educational, historical and cultural enrichment and to 'bring to life' the fascinating history of Southern Nevada, it's railroads, its industries and cultural heritage of the late 19th and early 20th century by using the medium of operating trains; with interactive museum exhibits and historical reenactments, and educating the public about our nation's railroad history and tomorrow's new railroad technologies.

It is the LV Railroad Society's vision provide railroad education and numerous other educational programs inside Las Vegas' new addition of a 'Railroad Heritage Exploratorium.'

  • The cultural center will bustle with authentic sounds and sights depicted within the Gilded-Progressive Age.
  • Our focus on Las Vegas’ nostalgic steam era was selected as a tribute to industrial ingenuity, paired with the pioneer entrepreneurial spirit for which Nevadans are known.
  • Exploratorium programs also provide views to living in harmony with nature, and with sustainable new technologies and lifestyles.
