1. THE TECHNICAL PROGRAM: The Trains

The future Las Vegas Railroad Society Museum has a huge technical side, a valuable program that focuses on the trains. Especially enjoyed and treasured by railroad enthusiasts and historians from all around the world. Thank God for our local railroad buffs, their enthusiasm & dedication make this museum project final reality for all our local children. |

School busses will come to the Las Vegas Railroad Society Museum by appointment, and learning will be absolutely limitless!

Las Vegas is the most creative city on earth, and the Las Vegas Railroad Society is one of the most creative nonprofit organizations in existence, with each and every child in mind. Creating this nostalgic 'Train Wonderland' is an inspiring task.
Once folks will enter the finished Las Vegas Railroad Society park with their children and grandchildren, the cozy environment will not only take them back in time, it will also inspire them to enjoy a brief mental and emotional 'vacation' from their daily stressful lives........
3. THE NOSTALGIC SIDE: A Cozy Old World Environment
THE LAS VEGAS RAILROAD SOCIETY STAFF
The LVRRS engineers and staff are required to wear proper railroad era uniforms to fit the theme of days gone bye. The following partial description of the planned railroad park exposes just the 'tip of the iceberg' of what really lies ahead in the future Las Vegas Railroad Society park.
All Aboard !
After picking up their railroad tickets, people will board covered and/or uncovered 1/3 scale live-steam /diesel and battery powered trains to take various rides throughout the park property.
It will be a very educational and disciplined environment that will never lack on fun surprises along the way. The entire Las Vegas community absolutely supports such a family oriented environment........
Over time, as the park expands, the trains will take the children and families on a spectacular and long trip. The journey will lead through a lush green 100++++ acre park, offering a safe, comfortable and slow, yet quite adventurous ride.....

GOING OVER A BRIDGE / UNDER A BRIDGE.....WOW...
Up front, the locomotive will go through a variety of well-constructed railroad tunnels, huffing and puffing, traveling past beautiful miniature mountains. Tall trees will provide sheltering shade, Shrubs will soften the desert landscape along the way.
RAILROAD BRIDGES AND TRESTLES
Schools, special children groups and entire families will enjoy riding the trains, crossing many railroad bridges and trestles to conquer uneven terrain in some areas............
WOW! Las Vegas will NEVER be the same again. At last, just like many other cities, a real 'Railroad Adventure Land' right here in the Las Vegas desert, with real miniature live steam and also diesel locomotives! Children will absolutely love it!!!

The steam locomotives will take passengers over smaller railroad bridges, crossing creeks, passing a beautiful waterfall. All passengers aboard the train will get to enjoy the stunning beauty of majestic Weeping Willows, swaying gently in the breeze. |

A Marvelous Mixture of Necessary Fast Growing Trees
Will be Planted Next to the Railroad Tracks
Providing Shade for a Joyful and Pleasant Ride.
As the years go on, these planted trees will then grow into beautiful majestic and matured trees which will provide extremely important and healthy life-giving oxygen for our ever so busy town!
One day, people will comment: "But what's the story with this tree over there?" ....... "Which tree?" ... "This one over there, it's different somehow!" ..... "What do you mean?" ....Well, you have to wait and see......
FLOWERS & BLOSSOMS THROUGHOUT THE PARK
Spring will deliver the beauty of a huge variety of blooming trees, sweet smelling, native flowers, blooming bushes and rose bushes which will undoubtedly cheer our hearts, and will give us an emotional jump start for what lies ahead for all of us throughout the rest of the year.
Wild flowers to the left and to the right, along side the creek beds and along railroad tracks will further catch the people's attention and it will make them realize, that the desert can be a beautiful and colorful place.
Special fruit trees and various herbs within our educational Botanical Garden will also inspire and teach local folks once more, that the desert can be a valuable fruitful ground. Natural beauty of blossoms and flowers will only remind us to take a deep breath, ....count our blessings, ....and to 'quiet' our stressful thoughts... It will be a sactuary for families, seniors and everyone in-between.

'GREEN' ENVIRONMENT
Good for the Human Soul and for Wildlife..
Wild singing birds will move into the lush green oasis in the desert, trying to cool off in the small ponds and tree branches during the hot summer month. Bird watchers will have a field day at the park. It will be a wonderful sanctuary, enjoyed by neighbors who live close by, and by anyone who appreciates nature. What a place it will be..
Authentic looking and also functional water towers and replica 'gas' lanterns will be placed throughout the railroad park for our live-steam locomotives, just adding more ambiance. It will be everyone's home away from home, that's how cozy it will be.
The LVRRS plans to mix new technologies within an old time environment, greeting a 'green' energy efficient, environmentally friendly and mostly solar powered facility.
