FUTURE VISION OF
LAS VEGAS RAILROAD SOCIETY'S
'HO' SCALE TRAIN EXTRAVAGANZA

 HOTrains9.jpg

Our future Smithsonian-style 'Railroad Heritage Park' will have various train sizes on the property and one of them will be a fantastic indoor 'HO' train layout. For those who are not familiar with miniature train sizes, below are some more example pictures.....

Children have loved and enjoyed playing with miniature 'HO' scale trains for decades.

     > Other children liked enjoyed smaller 'N' scale trains.
     > Or 'S' scale trains (a size between 'HO' scale and 'O' scale).
     > Some fathers introduced their boys to 'O' scale trains.
     > Or even 'G' scale (larger than 'O' scale trains).

No matter what the size, to this day miniature trains of yester-year and of today deliver endless joy for boys......

Children of today still love small trains, starting at a very early age with fun toy trains and slowly but surely graduating into more and more refined train models as children grow older, transforming into an everlasting passion, year after year.......

Every train size in the future 'Railroad Heritage Park' offers bonding experiences between fathers and sons. Fond memories were created decades ago and today's generation has the same opportunity in the future 'Railroad Heritage Park' right her, in Las Vegas, one day soon.......

As children grow older they develop refined choices when it comes to train models and Las Vegas Railroad Society program committee members will introduce them to the history aspect of American trains. At this point their hobby will take on a whole new dimension, and in the long run youth hobbyists will view all miniature and life size trains with a new outlook and appreciation knowing the history behind it all.

Time will arrive when young folks will now graduate into building sceneries for the trains, working along-side train layout designers who will be more than willing to show them a trick or two:
     > How to create a pond
     > How to lay tracks
     > How to 'plant' trees
     > How to create mountains
     > How to properly 'age' shiny new narrow gauge steam and diesel locomotives
to make them look like they used to look in the mountains where they were used
        working engines.
     > And the list of knowledge in the 'HO' hobby arena is very long and fascinating.....

Adults will be busy building train models and sharing their know-how with others....

'N' scale / 'S' scale / 'HO' scale / 'O' scale / 'G' scale - it's all a lot of fun for children and adults! There may be another golden opportunity. The LVRRS may consider a 'G' scale train layout (Garden Railroad) with a 2+ mile track route one day in the future 'Railroad Heritage Park', which may create some happy smiles, time will come........

Were are here for the community and hobbyists, and we already have enthusiastic followers.......
